A manufacturer’s app can be useful for ownership, but its availability does not make every older battery or remote updateable. Before buying propulsion equipment because it has app support, identify which component connects to the app and which function is actually documented. A phone app, a wireless control and motor electronics are separate parts of the system.
Read the device list alongside the release notes
The Bixpy LLC Google Play listing describes battery firmware updates and support access. Its main description names PP-378 V4 and PP-768, while the displayed release note says PP384 was added to the device list. The listing shows an August 18, 2026 update date. That is existing documentation checked today, not an October 29 software launch.
The manufacturer’s support page also names particular battery versions and remotes for app-based updates. These named examples are a reason to verify hardware identity; they do not establish that another battery, an earlier remote or a different motor brand can be updated by the same app.
Build a support record before installing anything
Use one row for the battery, one for the control and one for any separate motor electronics. Record the visible model and revision, the matching manual, the app publisher and store link, and the function the manufacturer says is supported. If the manual uses a different product name from the current app screen, ask support to explain the relationship rather than choosing the nearest-looking device.
- Which physical component receives the update?
- Which hardware versions and phone platforms are supported?
- Where are the current official instructions and release notes?
- Does the proposed update address a stated function, and what remains unchanged?
- What support route applies if the equipment is not recognized?
This is an evidence checklist, not a firmware installation procedure. Follow the exact maker’s instructions for the actual hardware and situation. Do not experiment with unofficial files, a different device profile or a reset sequence copied from an unrelated product.
Separate software support from buying claims
App support does not by itself establish better thrust, longer runtime, compatibility with a different board or a repaired physical fault. Keep any performance claim attached to its own evidence. Likewise, a store release date describes the software listing; it does not identify the firmware already installed on a second-hand unit.
Before ordering, ask whether the supplied hardware can use the documented support functions in your region and on your intended phone. Save that answer with the equipment record. A vague promise of future updates should remain a promise, not a feature already demonstrated on your configuration.
Use the TRIMIX SUP compatibility checklist for the broader setup record. To ask about SUP thruster availability and compatibility, provide the board, fin-box, motor and adapter models, your country and the question identified here. There is currently no public TRIMIX SUP-motor listing. An inquiry does not confirm stock, compatibility or an order. TRIMIX has not independently tested these configurations.
Evidence and date notes
This is an evergreen practical guide checked October 29, 2026. Source dates: Bixpy LLC Google Play app description and release note; store update date: 2026-08-18 | Bixpy manufacturer support page, hardware-specific app update wording: undated current page/document. Publication today does not make these documents new announcements. Manufacturer statements are attributed examples, not TRIMIX testing or confirmation of supply.
