A complete electric SUP may arrive as one purchase while containing several separately identifiable components. Keep the board, drive and purchase records connected without treating them as the same number. That makes a later parts or support inquiry more precise and avoids relying on a remembered product name.
Two examples of documentation requirements
SipaBoards’ Instruction Manual v2.1 states that the board and SipaDrive each have a serial number and recommends keeping both. The board identifier therefore should not silently replace the drive identifier in a buyer’s records. Match the manual to the actual generation before relying on any registration requirement it describes.
Boost Surfing’s warranty page identifies proof of purchase and the product serial number as information requested for warranty service. It also discusses keeping the serial marking legible. This is the manufacturer’s stated service process, not a promise that every claim will qualify or an interpretation of consumer rights in a particular country.
Build a component record
| Record | What to keep together |
|---|---|
| Board | Model, revision and manufacturer-assigned identifier where provided |
| Drive and control | Each named component and its own identifier where provided |
| Purchase | Invoice or receipt, seller identity, date and the exact package description |
| Documentation | Applicable manual edition, manufacturer terms and any actual registration acknowledgement |
These are separate fields rather than a universal claim that every battery or controller carries a public serial label. Ask the supplier which identifiers exist on the supplied version. Preserve readable copies of documentation without modifying or obscuring labels. A model name can identify a family; it may not identify an individual unit or its hardware revision.
Separate a record from an approval
Saving a receipt does not itself register a product. Completing a registration form does not prove it was accepted. If the maker requires registration, ask for the currently applicable route and deadline, then retain the real acknowledgement when one is issued. This guide does not submit a form, contact a manufacturer or establish warranty eligibility.
For support, initially provide the model and the specific question, then use the supplier’s appropriate private channel for serial numbers and purchase documents. Avoid posting invoices, personal contact details or full identifiers in public blog comments. This article concerns traceability before purchase and during ownership; it is not a warranty-duration comparison, used-equipment inspection or legal assessment.
Ask about your actual setup
Use the TRIMIX SUP compatibility checklist for the separate fitment questions. To ask about actual SUP thruster supply and documentation, provide your board, fin-box, motor and adapter models, your country and the question raised here. No SUP motor is currently listed in the public TRIMIX catalog. A support inquiry does not establish availability, compatibility or an order, and it does not automatically send an email.
Evidence and date notes
