An app-enabled motor adds a software relationship to the equipment purchase. Before relying on connected settings or support, read the exact app listing’s data declaration and ask what applies to the features you expect to use. Hardware compatibility and data handling are different buying questions.
Identify who made the declaration
The US Boost Surfing App Store listing names Boost Surf, Inc and presents its developer-reported privacy information. It lists email address and user ID under data linked to the user, and identifiers, usage data and diagnostics under data not linked to the user. Apple explicitly says it has not verified that information and that practices can vary with features and other circumstances.
These are disclosures about possible handling, not evidence that every item is collected during every session. Nor do they establish which information is mandatory to configure a particular fin. A buyer should obtain those feature-specific answers rather than infer them from the presence of a category.
Translate category names into practical questions
Apple’s privacy definitions distinguishes account-level identifiers, device identifiers, usage information and diagnostics. Its explanation also treats linkage to a person as separate from the type of data. That distinction helps you read the label without assuming that all information called diagnostic is anonymous or that a user ID is the equipment’s serial number.
| Your intended feature | Question for the developer |
|---|---|
| Initial setup and settings | Is an account required, and which information is required for this feature? |
| Diagnostics and support | What is submitted, when is it submitted and which controls are available? |
| Ownership changes | How are account records and equipment associations handled separately? |
Check the policy’s scope as well as its link
The listing’s developer-policy link currently redirects to Boost Surfing’s privacy policy. Its opening scope describes visiting or purchasing from the website. That wording should prompt a request for clarification about the app; it should not silently be expanded into a complete explanation of mobile-app telemetry or permissions.
Keep the listing date checked, platform, developer name and the answers relevant to your intended use. Review the actual app’s controls and current instructions before providing information. This article has not installed the app, inspected network traffic or tested whether features work without an account or internet connection. It does not submit a support request, change permissions or clear stored equipment pairings. The result is a clearer pre-purchase software question, not a privacy audit or a finding of misconduct.
Ask about the actual SUP setup
Use the TRIMIX SUP compatibility checklist for the board and adapter questions. To ask about actual SUP thruster availability and documentation, provide the board, fin-box, motor and adapter identities, your country and the question raised here. There is no current public TRIMIX SUP-motor listing. An inquiry does not confirm supply, compatibility or an order, and it does not automatically send an email.
