A battery’s ability to float answers a different question from how it should be secured to a paddleboard. Before buying a separate power-pack system, obtain the maker’s documented attachment arrangement for the actual board. Positive buoyancy should not be treated as an installation method.
Separate the two product statements
Bixpy’s current PP-384 specification identifies positive buoyancy and describes a pack that can be secured at the rear of a paddleboard. These are distinct statements about the product. A buoyancy description does not identify a suitable deck fixing, establish the strength of a board’s cargo fittings or confirm the layout on your particular board.
The manufacturer’s Canadian February 10, 2026 paddleboard article describes securing its battery pack on deck with straps or in a gear area depending on board design. That qualification matters. The paragraph is a reason to request the correct detailed instructions; it is not a universal endorsement of any available bungee, handle or accessory loop.
Ask for the complete retention arrangement
Provide the board model and clear photographs of the proposed deck area while the equipment is safely out of use. Ask the motor supplier and board maker to identify the supported attachment method and any restrictions. Keep the response with the exact pack and board configuration rather than transferring it to a second board.
- Which manufacturer-approved strap, base or retention component is required?
- Which board attachment points does the documented arrangement use?
- Does the supplied kit include those components, and what remains to be confirmed?
- How must the installation preserve access to the specified controls and connections?
- Which board-maker guidance applies to the proposed fittings and load?
A visible cargo loop does not have an assumed strength or approved purpose merely because a strap can pass through it. Likewise, a carrying handle, battery connector and cable should not be assigned a retention role by guesswork. Ask for the evidence instead of inventing a tie-down method.
Keep the buying decision precise
Record four separate outcomes: battery buoyancy documented; retention components identified; board attachment accepted; complete layout supported. Mark an unanswered item as unresolved. A positive answer in the first row cannot fill the remaining rows.
This is a pre-purchase documentation checklist, not instructions for knots, drilling, adhesive mounts or strap tension. The final installation must follow the applicable manufacturers’ instructions. TRIMIX has not measured attachment loads, tested battery recovery or confirmed that a proposed board and pack combination is suitable.
The TRIMIX SUP compatibility checklist covers the wider equipment record. To ask about actual SUP thruster availability and compatibility, include the board, fin-box, motor and adapter models, your country and the specific question above. There is no current public TRIMIX SUP-motor listing. An inquiry prepares a request; it does not confirm supply, compatibility, permission to use a waterway or an order.
