An official transmitter manual can remain useful while its printed list of computer models reflects an earlier product range. Before ordering a wireless tank-pressure transmitter, record the transmitter’s exact identity and check the manufacturer’s current support list for the computer you actually own.
Keep the manual’s date visible
The Suunto Tank POD user guide dated January 17, 2022 names EON Core, EON Steel, EON Steel Black and D5 in its product-compatibility section. It also expressly directs readers to Suunto’s website or support channels for the full list of compatible products.
That referral matters. The four names in this dated PDF are a documented list, but the document itself tells the buyer where to check the complete range. Treat its date and referral as part of the evidence, rather than assuming that an unlisted later computer must either work or be excluded.
Compare the current product identity
The current Suunto US Tank POD product page, checked November 7, identifies SKU SS020306000. Its compatibility description names Nautic, Nautic S and Ocean alongside D5, EON Steel, EON Steel Black and EON Core. This is a concrete reason to retain both the dated manual and the current product information.
The additional names do not establish that every Suunto computer supports that transmitter, that another transmitter with a similar name is equivalent, or that wireless devices from different manufacturers are interchangeable. The user guide specifically excludes equipment that Suunto has not authorised or officially supported.
Prepare a two-device purchase record
Write down the complete transmitter name and SKU on one line, and the complete computer model and relevant software information on another. Add the current support-page address and its check date. A quotation that says only Suunto transmitter leaves the transmitter identity unresolved.
Ask the supplier to confirm the named combination and point to the applicable computer documentation. If one source gives an apparently different answer, send both links to manufacturer support and retain the clarification. Do not resolve a disagreement by relying on a shared brand name or a general wireless label.
Separate compatibility from equipment work
A supported-model answer is a purchasing fact, not confirmation that an individual unit has been inspected, installed or configured. The Tank POD guide recommends installation or removal by an authorised dealer or trained dive expert. Keep that service assessment and the computer’s own instructions with the ownership record. This article provides no installation, pairing, gas-management or emergency procedure.
For a TRIMIX inquiry, read the buying guide, then ask about actual equipment availability and documentation. No TRIMIX transmitter listing, compatibility or test result is established by these examples.
Evidence and dates: Evergreen documentation guide checked November 7, 2026. January 17, 2022 is the PDF’s printed version date; its original web-publication day is not stated. The current product page is undated. By TRIMIX Sports.
