A transfer adapter can be offered as one catalogue item while containing several components a buyer may need to identify later. When comparing a hose-and-gauge model for a mini scuba setup, request the evidence for the supplied assembly and its supported service parts before committing to an offer.
Record the actual supplied adapter
The TRIMIX Type 02 adapter listing identifies it as the hose-and-gauge catalogue pairing for the T-1000 and T-2000. It asks buyers to check the source valve and confirms that the working-pressure markings need to be checked. A catalogue pairing gives the supplier a starting point. It leaves the source valve, actual coupling and complete setup to be verified.
The T-2000 User Manual describes adapter filling among the methods for that cylinder. Use the model-specific manual, the supplied adapter instructions and the actual component markings together. A manual’s mention of a filling method does not identify an arbitrary hose or gauge as a substitute.
Request separate entries for the parts
- Adapter body. Request the exact identifier, source valve specification and documentation for the supplied arrangement.
- Hose. Ask for its part reference, applicable working-pressure marking and who supplies the approved replacement for the offered version.
- Gauge. Record its units, where in the assembly it measures pressure and the manufacturer documentation for interpreting it.
- Receiving connection. Give the actual receiving cylinder and assembly model. Ask the provider to confirm the mating connection and clearance.
A clear gauge-face photo can help identify the instrument. The top number on that dial does not prove a hose or adapter body rating. Keep the cylinder markings, each component’s documentation and the provider’s written compatibility review in separate entries.
Know who handles service before buying
Ask whether the quoted configuration includes the exact hose and gauge shown, and whether faults are evaluated through the seller or a qualified service provider. This avoids treating a different transfer assembly as an identical replacement after the original is out of service. The purchase checklist provides no transfer sequence or fitting instructions.
Ask about the Type 02 hose-and-gauge assembly with the source valve, receiving model and current equipment identifiers. Arrange the complete review with a qualified fill provider before use.
