0.5 L Bare Cylinder or T-500 A Set? Read the Line Item Before Ordering

A capacity number does not tell you what the seller will pack. In the TRIMIX catalogue, two different 0.5 L listings are easy to confuse when a quote is reduced to a short spreadsheet line. Identify the offer as a pressure vessel part or an equipment set before comparing prices.

Read the offered components

The 0.5 L Bare Cylinder listing describes one vessel, in Black or Green, with a stated M18 × 1.5 connection. Its description excludes the breathing valve and other accessories. The thread designation helps a seller identify the component. It leaves the matching valve and complete configuration to be confirmed.

The T-500 A set listing describes a cylinder with a mouthpiece regulator and pressure gauge and lists an anti-loss rope in the set. It excludes the hand pump, mask, cylinder bag and scuba refill adapter. The T-500 User Manual is the reference for the named breathing assembly. Ask for the separate model documents that apply if an accessory or filling device is included in another offer.

Choose the offer that answers your actual request

If an appropriately qualified service provider identified the vessel as the item to replace, ask them for the manufacturer’s exact part reference and the records needed to assess the entire returned assembly. Buying a same-volume shell does not resolve which fittings, markings, inspection records or service are required for your specific equipment. Keep those questions open until the supplier and service provider have both identified the item.

If you are buying a listed breathing configuration, ask the supplier to write the model, included breathing assembly and gauge, included accessories and any excluded filling equipment on separate lines. That makes omissions visible even if photos show a different kit or a colour option. File the written configuration alongside the exact-model manual, where available.

Make the line item auditable

  • Record the exact product name and quoted item code.
  • Ask which physical parts are included with that item, using the model references in the offer.
  • For a replacement vessel, ask who can assess the completed equipment and which records they need.
  • Keep filling equipment in a separate row so that its absence is clear.

Ask TRIMIX about the bare-cylinder line item with the exact model and the service provider’s part reference. If you intended to enquire about an A set, identify it by name. This is a catalogue comparison. It supplies no assembly procedure or finding that a particular vessel and valve can be combined.

Evergreen equipment buying guide checked November 7, 2026. Both catalogue pages and the linked English T-500 manual are undated. This guide documents the buying decision. It does not establish a product test or approve a specific setup.
