Poseidon’s October Configurator Update: Why the Dealer Still Matters

A regulator kit can look complete in a shopping basket while leaving important questions about the intended diving unresolved. Poseidon’s October dealer-facing configurator announcement offers a useful example of bringing those questions into the selection process earlier.

What Poseidon announced

In a manufacturer press release dated October 7, 2026 and published by X-Ray Mag on October 9, Poseidon described a tool for choosing configurations around the diver’s actual use. The announcement lists standard, streamlined, long-hose, doubles, sidemount and stage-tank arrangements, together with the associated stages, hoses and accessories.

The release also describes an embedded version for dealers and a connection to Flagship Dealers for assembly, checking and collection. These are Poseidon’s announced features. They do not establish that every dealer offers every configuration or that a particular selection is suitable for an individual diver.

The configurator had already been reported in July. The October release should therefore be read as a current dealer-facing announcement, not proof that the tool first became available this month.

The official Poseidon website currently introduces the tool as a way to build a regulator setup around diving style, preferences and equipment needs. We verified the official configurator address, but did not complete a configuration or place an order.

Use the screen to expose unanswered questions

The useful change is the order of the conversation. Instead of asking which box contains the most equipment, a buyer can first describe the diving they are trained and planning to do. That makes it easier to notice when two apparently similar bundles answer different needs.

A clear inquiry can record the proposed configuration, the existing equipment it must work with, and the particular point that needs checking. Keep unanswered items visible. Choosing an option in a menu should not silently turn an assumption into an established fact.

For example, “I have this existing component; can it be used in this proposed system?” is more useful than “Will this brand work with my gear?” The first question gives a qualified dealer a concrete combination to assess. The second can hide differences between products sold under the same brand.

A digital configuration is still a proposal

A saved list can be a helpful record of a discussion, but the list itself is not equipment assembly, inspection, training or a compatibility certificate. Ask the appropriate authorized professional to resolve the configuration questions before relying on a setup. This article intentionally does not supply hose-routing, adjustment or high-pressure assembly instructions.

If you are organizing an equipment inquiry, our TRIMIX support page is the place for questions about TRIMIX’s own catalog. Mentioning Poseidon’s tool does not imply a Poseidon dealership, a tested regulator configuration or availability through TRIMIX.

Dates and scope: Announcement dated October 7; publication October 9, 2026. Official pages and release checked October 23. This is a past-month equipment-selection development, not a new regulator performance test.
