A cable visible between a motor and power pack is not necessarily a separately replaceable accessory. Before buying SUP propulsion, establish which cable belongs permanently to an assembly and which connections are intended to separate. That distinction affects a future service quotation more directly than the cable’s advertised length.
Identify the assembly boundary
The current Bixpy K-1 product specification explicitly describes the cable as permanently attached directly to the motor. That is a construction statement about the named motor. It does not establish an owner-replaceable cable, a field-repair method or compatibility with a generic lead.
A detachable extension, if approved for a complete setup, is a different item. Its connector can join an existing system without making the original motor cable removable. When reading an offer, draw the component boundary around the motor and its attached cable, then list any separately supplied accessory outside that boundary. Ask the manufacturer to correct the drawing if its actual construction differs.
Make a useful service inquiry
For a cable concern, identify the motor and revision, the affected cable and whether it is an original attached section or a named accessory. Supply clear external photographs and describe where the visible concern lies. An extension connector, strain relief and cable jacket are distinct locations; calling all three a broken wire can obscure the item requiring assessment.
- Is the cable part of the motor assembly under the current parts system?
- Is a separately identified replacement accessory available for the affected section?
- Which inspection or work must be performed by authorized service?
- Does the service quotation include the assembly, required checks and return arrangements?
These are information requests, not permission to cut, splice, reseal or open equipment. Do not infer a safe repair from the fact that an electronics shop sells a matching-looking connector. Keep an unresolved condition out of the operating plan until the manufacturer provides the appropriate instructions.
Compare service scope rather than the cheapest part name
Bixpy’s current limited warranty excludes damage resulting from unauthorized modifications, disassembly or unauthorized repair attempts. The policy is subject to its stated terms and applicable mandatory rights; it does not decide an individual claim here. It reinforces the need to establish the approved service route before treating an attached cable as a cheap replaceable lead.
For prospective buyers, ask for the service contact and the relevant assembly identity before ordering. A quotation for a complete motor and an offer for an extension cable are not alternative prices for the same repair. TRIMIX has not diagnosed a cable fault or established a supported repair for the illustrated equipment.
Ask about the complete SUP setup
The TRIMIX SUP compatibility checklist covers the separate hardware-fit question. To ask about actual SUP thruster availability and fitment, provide the board, fin-box, motor and adapter models, your country and the ownership question identified here. No SUP motor is currently listed in the public TRIMIX catalog. An inquiry does not confirm supply, compatibility or an order.
