A motor described as having several speeds has not necessarily been described as operating in both directions. Before choosing SUP propulsion, record forward and reverse functions separately for the complete supported power-and-control configuration. A large total should not stand in for a clear directional specification.
Use separately labelled manufacturer counts
The current Bixpy PP-384 page lists twelve forward levels and three reverse levels. The PP-768 V2 page likewise separates twelve forward levels from three reverse levels and identifies an additional thirteenth forward Turbo level. These are attributed descriptions of those named power-pack configurations, not a rule for every motor or an independent handling test.
The example explains why a single count can be misleading. An extra forward level does not create an extra reverse level. A count also does not state the board’s measured travelling speed, turning ability or suitability for a particular manoeuvre. Preserve the direction label and the configuration that supports it.
Make direction a purchasing requirement
Give each candidate a short function record. Identify the exact motor, power pack or control module, remote and intended board attachment. Then request the following information from the supplier:
- Whether reverse is explicitly supported by that complete combination.
- The separately documented forward and reverse level counts.
- Any stated limits on reverse use with the proposed adapter or mounting arrangement.
- The matching current operating instructions, including the manufacturer’s normal direction-control requirements.
If one of these answers is absent, mark it unspecified rather than substituting a similar remote’s description. A function demonstrated with a different power pack or craft does not confirm it for the proposed SUP installation. Conversely, a shared motor name is not sufficient reason to discard a manufacturer’s configuration-specific qualification.
Keep the feature distinct from an operating technique
A clear reverse specification helps compare offers, but it does not teach a rider how to control a powered board in a confined space. Ask the appropriate supplier or instructor about the documented equipment and operating context. This guide gives no direction-changing sequence, emergency procedure or assurance about handling near people or obstacles.
For a quotation, write the required function in words and ask the seller to name the supporting components and source. That makes it possible to reject an offer that answers only with a total speed count. TRIMIX has not measured reverse performance, certified a mounting arrangement or confirmed an available SUP propulsion product.
Ask about the complete SUP setup
The TRIMIX SUP compatibility checklist covers the wider hardware record. To ask about actual SUP thruster availability and fitment, provide the board, fin-box, motor and adapter models, your country and the specific question above. There is no current public TRIMIX SUP-motor listing. Preparing an inquiry does not confirm supply, compatibility or an order.
