Buying a CS4 Compressor? Confirm the Electrical Input on the Offered Unit

When comparing compressors for a mini scuba filling setup, add a separate electrical line to the quote. A model name, output pressure and power figure leave open the supply requirements for the actual version. The most useful document for this part of the comparison is a readable nameplate for the version being offered.

Begin with the current CS4 listing

The TRIMIX CS4 Electric Air Compressor listing describes a 300 W unit, refers to AC/DC versions and asks buyers to confirm the input configuration. It does not identify the complete voltage, current, frequency and connection details for a particular unit. Request the exact configuration in writing and attach the corresponding nameplate or equipment data sheet to the quote.

Ask how the documented version is powered, which supply equipment or cable it comes with and which input specifications apply to that equipment. If a power supply is a separate item, identify it by its own model and included status. A plug photo and a compressor wattage figure alone do not supply those missing fields.

Match the information to the location

For U.S. workplaces covered by the rule, the OSHA general electrical equipment provisions distinguish voltage and current ratings and direct that listed or labelled equipment be used according to its included instructions. That is a workplace example of why the equipment markings matter. The requirements for your installation depend on its location and scope.

Describe where you intend the equipment to be used and identify the planned supply. Have an appropriately qualified person review the proposed arrangement and the manufacturer’s instructions. Request a written manufacturer answer before assuming that a battery, vehicle socket, generator, adapter or different mains supply is supported. This guide gives no wiring, conversion or installation procedure.

Keep the electrical decision in its own row

  • Exact compressor variant and identifying nameplate.
  • Input information for the unit and any supplied power equipment.
  • Included cable, connector or supply model and applicable instructions.
  • Reviewer and confirmation for the planned location.

Separately ask a qualified fill provider about breathing-air quality, pressure and the receiving cylinder. Electrical confirmation alone settles none of those questions. Ask TRIMIX to identify the offered CS4 power version with your destination and proposed supply information.

Evergreen equipment buying guide checked November 7, 2026. The CS4 page is undated. OSHA’s live consolidated 29 CFR page has no stated web publication date. Its electrical provisions are cited as a scoped U.S. workplace reference. This guide documents the buying decision. It does not establish a product test or approve a specific setup.
