Singapore Oceanarium has added a new way to view marine life from the water’s surface. Resorts World Sentosa announced the launch of PADI Discover Snorkelling on October 21, 2026, giving families and first-time participants another option alongside its existing scuba programs.

What was announced

According to the operator’s launch release, the experience takes place in the Open Ocean Habitat and is designed for participants aged ten and above. The announcement describes views of animals including manta rays, sharks and schools of fish, alongside basic snorkeling skills and conservation learning. The operator also announced the dive center’s PADI 5-Star Instructor Development Dive Resort accreditation. Read RWS’s October 21 launch release.

This is an organized oceanarium activity. It should be evaluated on its own participation conditions, rather than treated as an open-water excursion or a qualification to snorkel independently elsewhere.

The currently listed visit details

The official program page lists a 90-minute session, a maximum group of eight, English-language instruction, and sessions from Friday to Sunday at 10:30am. The listed price is S$109 per participant, including a one-day Singapore Oceanarium ticket. Participants are told to arrive at least 30 minutes before the session at the PADI Dive Center entrance beside the Research Learning Center. These are the operator’s current listings, checked October 22; confirm availability and terms before paying. Read the full program details and conditions.

The page says proper swimwear is required and wetsuits are provided. Participants complete liability and health declarations. For anyone under 18, a parent or legal guardian over 21 must be present onsite to complete the forms. Questions about an individual’s eligibility should go to the venue before booking.

Plan around the actual session

Our suggested approach is to organize the day around the check-in time first. Allow time for reaching the specified meeting point, completing the venue’s formalities and getting ready. An attraction admission ticket and a scheduled in-water activity are separate pieces of an itinerary even when sold together.

Families may find it helpful to write down each person’s age, preferred date and language needs before contacting the operator. Ask how spectators are accommodated, where personal items are stored, and what happens if a participant decides not to enter the water. The answers can affect the rest of the day’s plans.

Confirm the venue’s equipment rules before bringing personal masks, cameras or accessories. A provided wetsuit does not tell you which other items are supplied or whether your own equipment is permitted. Keep that information with the booking confirmation instead of assuming a general snorkeling packing list applies.

If a separate future trip calls for personal equipment, ask TRIMIX about the details of a currently listed item and compare those details with that operator’s requirements.
