A single-lens mask presents one main viewing window; a twin-lens mask separates the front view into two lens areas. Those descriptions help you understand the layout, but they do not rank comfort or tell you how the mask will sit on your face. Compare the whole design before choosing between them.
Use real models to read the terminology
SCUBAPRO describes its Solo as a single-lens, low-volume mask. Its specification table lists prescription-lens compatibility as no. The Zoom is listed as a low-volume dual-lens model with documented optical-lens options. These examples show why lens count, internal volume and optical support should be recorded as separate features.
The comparison does not establish that all single-lens masks lack optical options or that every twin-lens model accepts the same replacement lenses. It also does not establish a winning field of view for every wearer. Manufacturer descriptions are product-specific claims; TRIMIX has not measured these masks against one another.
Compare the view you actually use
During a suitable fitting session, pay attention to the central bridge and the edges of the viewing area. Look forward, toward the sides and toward any close item you expect to read. Ask whether the frame position is distracting, rather than judging only how large the glass looks from the outside.
Make a small comparison sheet with four rows: viewing layout, fit, optical options and service information. Record the exact model beside each answer. This keeps a broad term such as panoramic from becoming a substitute for the view you personally experience. It also makes questions easier to send to a seller later.
Check the supporting parts
Compare the nose pocket, buckle location, strap adjustment and supplied case alongside the window arrangement. These parts are visible in product photographs and documentation, but pictures cannot confirm comfort. Do not tighten a strap excessively in an attempt to make a preferred frame shape fit.
If you expect to need corrective lenses, ask for the exact supported lens series and installation instructions before ordering. If your priority is straightforward surface snorkeling, avoid paying for an option merely because it appears in another model’s description. Keep any unknown dimensions or compatibility details on the question list.
Take the comparison to a real product page
You can use the TRIMIX K1 mask details as a starting point for questions about its supplied configuration. Ask about K1 fit and lens information with the features you want confirmed. The comparison above does not imply that K1 accepts either example manufacturer’s lenses.
When comparing two candidates, change one consideration at a time: a different skirt or buckle position can otherwise be mistaken for a difference caused by lens count.
Evidence note: Evergreen comparison checked October 27, 2026. The two manufacturer pages are undated. Lens-layout examples are documentation references, not independent performance tests or TRIMIX stock recommendations.
