Mirrored and UV Mask Lenses: Ask Which Claim Applies to Which Variant

A mirrored appearance, a UV-protection statement and an anti-fog feature describe different aspects of a mask. Do not combine them into one assumed package of benefits. Before paying for a lens option, identify the exact variant and the evidence attached to its claims.

Keep the lens option separate from the mask name

Cressi Pacific’s Calibro listing includes a Spectra Mirrored Lens selection. SCUBAPRO’s D-Mask description separately describes true-color UV-protective lenses. These are product-specific descriptions. They do not show that every mirrored mask has an identical UV rating, or that every UV-protective lens has the same mirrored finish.

Ask what is actually specified

Build a comparison record with separate rows for lens material, named finish, UV claim, anti-fog provision and any documented transmission information. Copy the exact model and variant code beside each answer. If no numerical transmission or test standard is supplied, record that gap rather than inventing a percentage from the color seen in a photograph.

Request clarification of broad words such as enhanced, clear or high-definition. Ask what feature the manufacturer means and whether it has a published measurement. A marketing term shared by two brands does not establish a common optical test, so it cannot support a precise performance ranking.

Consider the viewing conditions and care

Tell the seller where you intend to use the mask and ask how the selected variant is intended to be used. Keep fit in the decision as well: a documented lens option does not establish that the skirt suits your face. Seek an appropriate fitting opportunity rather than choosing solely from an exterior product photo.

Obtain the lens-care instructions for that version. Do not assume a cleaning method for plain glass is appropriate for a coating or attached film. Avoid applying an aftermarket finish or abrasive preparation based only on a generic mask-care tip; ask the manufacturer when its instructions do not answer the question.

Tie your inquiry to the supplied configuration

For TRIMIX K1 mask details, ask which lens material, finish and care instructions apply. Include the exact option you are considering. The examples above do not establish that K1 has either brand’s coating, optical performance or replacement-lens compatibility.

Keep the response with the product variant before comparing offers. This prevents a later color substitution or similarly named model from silently changing the lens specification you originally evaluated.

Evidence note: Evergreen buyer guide checked October 29, 2026. Both linked regional manufacturer pages are undated. Claims remain attributed; TRIMIX has not independently measured optical transmission, UV protection or coating durability.
